Tite Liner® system (HDPE Lining), a technology that enables a thermoplastic liner to fit tightly inside a host pipe. The Tite Liner® system begins as a thermoplastic pipe liner that has a larger outside diameter than the inside diameter of the steel pipe it protects. A wire line cable is sent through a section of pipeline and is then attached to the liner pipe. The wire line pulls the internal pipelining system through the roller reduction box which is positioned at the insertion end of the pipeline section. The liner pipe is compressed radially as it passes through the roller reduction box. This temporary reduction provides sufficient clearance between the steel pipe and the liner pipe to allow insertion. The liner then expands tightly following installation. The tight-fitting liner acts as a continuous barrier between the host pipe and the corrosive or abrasive material. There are no pressure limitations or limits on the maximum host pipe diameter for the Tite Liner® system.
The corrosion and abrasion resistance properties of HDPE Lining (Tite Liner®) system to protect pipelines from a variety of chemicals and abrasives through a broad range of temperatures and pressures. It is an efficient and cost-effective way to protect new or existing pipelines and its use can often extend the life of a pipeline far beyond the expected life of an asset. The Tite Liner® system comes in sizes from 50 mm to 1,300 mm (2 inches to 52 inches) in diameter, with larger diameters possible in certain situations.
Innovative and Engineering Raw material are being considered as liner pipe material based on fluid composition, temperature, and other relevant considerations. The polymers include.
- High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)
- Polyethylene Raised Temperature (PE-RT)
- Polyamide (PA)- 12
- Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF)
- Specialty Polymers
The liner pulling length depends on various factors such as pipeline conditions, terrain etc. United pulled up to 2400 meters as well in one go. Bends with 40D radius are recommended however, 20D radius bends can also be considered with short lengths.
USTS completed more than 15000 KM’s of Tite Liner® installations across Middle East and North Africa and 45,000 KMs across the Globe
